Discover the joy! Come grow with us in God’s love!
Goals of the Evangelism Committee include a ministry to the congregation and our community as well as encouraging involvement within the church. Visitors, new members, and our congregation (active and inactive) are our focus. We strive to offer encouragement, fellowship and a ministry to motivate spiritual growth. Some of the regular programs we offer throughout the year are as follows: Faith Outreach Weekend: An annual event involving a weekend of ministry, renewal and fellowship. Look for fun, surprises, and spiritual renewal. Expect your hearts to be lifted to the Lord! Visitation: If you visit FUMC, Fox Hill, we would like to briefly stop by your home and offer you a small gift of appreciation for joining us Sunday morning. If you have questions regarding our programs or activities, we will be happy to help you with that information. We Gather Together: This is an informal reception on the last Sunday of each month following the 11:00 worship service. This small gathering offers juice, coffee, cookies and fellowship. Visitors and new members are invited to attend so they can meet church members and inquire about activities within FUMC Fox Hill. This has also proven to be a good time for members to share news and catch up with each other. Come join us! Evangelism News: This committee sponsors an Evangelism Page in the church’s monthly newsletter, the Anchor. Our feature story each month (Reflections) is a personal testimony submitted by one of our church members. Information on upcoming Evangelism events, inspirational thoughts, and humorous jokes or stories are also provided to our readers. Our hope is that this section will uplift and inspire our members each month. Just Walk Across the Room: Early in 2007 we are sponsoring a major Evangelism emphasis to help our congregation feel more comfortable in witnessing to others. We hope you will join us as we all learn how to follow Jesus' Great Commission to "go therefore and make disciples of all nations" (and neighborhoods) Matthew 28:19 |
