Brian Sixbey has served as the Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church Fox Hill in Hampton, VA for the past 11 years. In his 25 years of ministry, he pastored five other churches in Virginia: Woolwine, Ross-Harbour, Gogginsville and Beech Grove. He began the journey to ordained ministry following graduation from Northside High School (Roanoke, VA), University of Virginia, and Duke Divinity School. In 2015, Brian completed his D.Min. from Asbury Seminary. He also recently became one of the volunteer chaplains for Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue, a ministry he hopes will expand as the pandemic diminishes. The focus of Brian’s ministry: Small Groups, meaningful worship and messages, connections and service in the community, and authentic spirituality.
He has been married to the love of his life, Shan, for 27 years. They celebrate two children, Caedmon and Catriona, and an “adopted” son, Peibo Li. Caedmon and Catriona attend St. John's College in Santa Fe. Peibo attends the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
