O God, you have begun a good work in us, and you are faithful to complete it. And yet our pessimism about what is, often overwhelms our optimism about what is to come. Open our hearts, that we might trust in your gracious providence. Open our minds, that we might believe in your mighty power. Open our eyes, that we might see the coming kingdom, for which we pray.
