O God, you are the source of life, light, and love. We pause to confess our human condition: we have preferred death to life; darkness to light; hatred to love. And yet we also profess with boldness the good news of our faith: that you see us as we really are; that you are always transforming us; always healing us; always saving us. Create us anew, O Lord; fill us with your Holy Spirit, and lead us in paths of righteousness for your name’s sake. Amen.
