This report briefly addresses finances at FUMC Fox Hill. The latest weekly and year-to-date information is in the weekly bulletin available at the church or through the link on our web site.
A new year is upon us – a time to continue the good things we have been doing and to consider those we may wish to improve. Naturally, in a report on finances, you expect to read that we need all of us to keep up the good support we have been rendering and to step it up where we can. This article will not miss that opportunity.
We won’t know the final results of this past year until after press time, but it is clear that we have been financially successful. Our Conference and District Apportionments have been paid and our various maintenance set-asides have been made. Thanks to careful spending, we have stayed well within our budget. All of that has helped us be on solid financial footing while we have faced somewhat lower giving. Thank you to everyone who has been a good steward of church resources and kept up their financial support.
Offering envelopes for 2024 are in the mail and should be received before the first Sunday, January 7. Please use your envelope whenever placing “money in the plate”. We strongly encourage you to make your donations to the One Fund/General Operations Fund. Those donations can be used to pay for any needs throughout the year and allow your financial staff to address cash flow in an efficient manner.
Don’t forget, if you choose to, you can simplify your giving process by using our on-line donation opportunities. At your discretion, you can make one-time donations and/or set up regular recurring gifts weekly, twice a month, or monthly. Simply go to our web page www.firstumcfoxhill.org click on “Give” and scroll down to the “Give Online” box. If you are reading this online, click here for easy access. Or use your camera and scan the QR code which you will regularly see in our publications and live stream.
By the end of January, you should receive your 2023 Donation Statement. Remember, these are NOT bills, but a report of what you have given in support of First Fox Hill. They can be used as you see fit and are supporting documents you may need for filing your taxes. Please check them as soon as you receive yours so we can address any questions you may have well before you are ready to file your tax returns.
Thanks to everyone for being a supporter of First Fox Hill.
Please direct any concerns or questions about FUMC FH finances to our financial staff through the office or Bill Bryan, Finance Chair, at (757) 851-0748 or by e-mail to billb-1111@cox.net.
